Roberto González Barrera participated in the panel: Integration of Financial Markets in Latin America and the Caribbean. The panelists spoke about the importance and progress of regional integration in capital markets.

ETFGI Global ETFs Insights Summit - Latin America

This summit was designed to facilitate a substantive and in-depth discussion of the growing use of U.S.-based Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities (UCITS), European UCITS and local ETFs by pension funds, insurance companies, family offices, private banks and financial advisors in Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Costa Rica.

Roberto González Barrera participated in the panel: Overview of the Panorama of ETFs in Mexico, presenting the International Trading System (SIC) concept, its evolution since the regulatory change in 2017, and the relevance of ETFs and UCITs for Mexican investors. Statistical information was also shared where 80% of SIC holdings are in ETFs and UCITs, the latter tripling their value in only two years.
