This summit was designed to facilitate a substantive and in-depth discussion of the growing use of U.S.-based Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities (UCITS), European UCITS and local ETFs by pension funds, insurance companies, family offices, private banks and financial advisors in Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Costa Rica.
Roberto González Barrera participated in the panel: Overview of the Panorama of ETFs in Mexico, presenting the International Trading System (SIC) concept, its evolution since the regulatory change in 2017, and the relevance of ETFs and UCITs for Mexican investors. Statistical information was also shared where 80% of SIC holdings are in ETFs and UCITs, the latter tripling their value in only two years.

America and the Caribbean. The panelists spoke about the importance and progress of regional
integration in capital markets.

Roberto González Barrera participated in the panel: Americas in Focus II - Regional FMIs and Latest Initiatives. He presented Indeval's advances in the different relevant projects for 2020. These projects were: the implementation of Taskize, the new Electronic Securities Issuance scheme agreed with Banco de México, the launch of Direct Custody for 2021, and the beginning of the analysis of
different platforms for Central Deposits available in the international market as well as the evolution of the solution for voting and representation in assemblies and the regulatory limitations.
