Roberto González Barrera participated in the forum presenting how Indeval has faced the operation in a contingent scheme derived from the COVID-19 pandemic with minimum personnel in offices and more than 90% of the personnel from home. Indeval continues to present good results even under stressful situations with high volatility and extraordinary operation volumes in the markets.

At the same time, he presented advances and details about some projects that are about to be released:

  • Electronic Issuance of Securities, a joint project with Banco de México that focuses on the safeguarding of securities in electronic vaults and electronic issuance of securities.
  • Taskize: a platform dedicated to customer service with communication and measurement of the service in real-time.
  • Direct Custody for foreign institutional investors with access to several service lines: SWIFT communication, corporate events, cash management, and specialized customer service.

The Network Forum Virtual Autum Meeting

Roberto González Barrera participated in the panel: Americas in Focus II - Regional FMIs and Latest Initiatives. He presented Indeval's advances in the different relevant projects for 2020. These projects were: the implementation of Taskize, the new Electronic Securities Issuance scheme agreed with Banco de México, the launch of Direct Custody for 2021, and the beginning of the analysis of
different platforms for Central Deposits available in the international market as well as the evolution of the solution for voting and representation in assemblies and the regulatory limitations.
